We've compiled a list of the most frequently asked questions about photography sessions to help you better understand the process and what to expect. From timing to copyrights to final images, we've got you covered.
-
After the photo session? After your photography session, I go through and pick out the best of the best and send you an unedited proof gallery (within 3 – 4 days of your session) and you choose which photos you want me to edit. Once you’ve made your choices, We’ll professionally edit your photos, including editing out any little temporary imperfections. Does your little one have a scratch or rash that appeared just days before the session? No worries! We’ll touch up those spots during editing. The editing process takes approx. 4 – 6 weeks once we’ve received your picks. You will have non-commercial reproduction rights. (this means you can’t sell your images or use them to promote another business) With all my sessions I let you choose your images.

Do you share our photos on social media and other places?Yes, I do share the photographs from the sessions on my social media accounts, website, with newspapers, magazines, competitions etc. As a artist, I try my heart and soul into them to produce the most beautiful photos for you that will last you a lifetime. Sharing my work with the world helps me get motivated to keep going and produce even more beautiful body of work. Also exhibit our work by demonstrating the capability & potential of our photography services. We do get the opportunity of capturing your memories only because you have seen the work we have shared either online or in print. Photography is a form of expression for me, so I need to share it. I am time-sensitive towards certain subject, like pregnancy or birthday photos, for which if you request me, I will wait for the event to pass successfully before I share the photos. While we are not able to share each and every client’s image due to our volume of work, but from time to time we do share the work we produce. From a legal standpoint under copyright law the photographer owns the copyright and can use it for any editorial use without permission of the person in the picture. Should you wish to have privacy of the images (which will prevent us from using any of your images online) you have he option of purchasing the privacy for an additional cost. Purchasing privacy does not give you the copyright of the images, it only means you have purchased the option that will restrict us from posting the images online.

However, if you have something particular that holds special meaning to you, feel free to bring it with you and we will gladly incorporate it into your session.
-
How long does a maternity photo session go for?Maternity photography sessions tend to average 60 – 90 minutes.
-
When should i book maternity photo session?Maternity photography is best photographed at approximately 32-36 weeks. For a twin pregnancy, 30 – 32 weeks is ideal.
-
Can we take breaks as needed during the session?Throughout the session, the baby can be handed back to Mom and Dad for breaks as needed: a break for feeding, a few snuggles, or a chance to fall back asleep. We take our time with every newborn session and we never pressure you to complete the session quickly, so sit back, relax, and incorporate as many breaks as needed.
-
What should i carry for the Newborn Session?Pack your diaper bag with the same supplies you would pack for a day at Grandma’s or a trip out to the store. That means your preferred diapers and wipes, and formula and bottles, if you’re using them. If you’re nursing, you may be able to hop out of the house with just the baby and a few diapers. And most importantly a pacifier. This is important this will help sooth the baby if needed.
-
Where is the Newborn Session held?At our home studio which is located at Horamavu, Bangalore or you can opt for home session swell.
-
What is the best time for newborn session? You should schedule newborn photos between 4 and 15 days after the baby is born to get the best photos. At this age, the baby enjoys being wrapped and swaddled. Because they’re still squishy, bendy, and sleepy, we are better able to pose them for the camera. At that age, baby still has those adorable, wrinkled hands and feet, the tiniest fingers and toes they will ever have, and, equally importantly, they are at their most malleable. Babies less than two weeks old also sleep more and tend to be quieter in general, making this the ideal time for those great sessions. As babies get older, they’re more likely to be awake and alert during the session, which can make it more difficult to get the specific poses you want most. Now that doesn’t mean we can’t photograph older babies Sometimes things happen beyond our control and that’s okay. I can absolutely photograph older babies we just have to be more flexible with our expectations.
-
What steps do you take to keep my baby safe during the session? As a certified newborn photographer, I have received extensive training in keeping your baby safe during each session. I am highly focused on the safety of your newborn. I watch your newborn at every moment for any signs of distress or discomfort.
-
Where is the baby photography session held?At our home studio or Outdoor or Client’s location
-
When should my baby be photographed?3–4 Months, when babies can handle their neck, do tummy time without turning and start responding with smiles and giggly at this age which is great for photos. 5-8 months, there’s a window of opportunity at this age that is ideal for photos – right when baby is able to sit-up unassisted but not yet crawling. 9–12 months, then of course, sitter session or/and cake smash session.
-
What is your style? My style has been described as clean, simple and organic. I prefer not to over-clutter or over-accessorise. The one tangible theme that I work with across every session I do is that it is all about the baby. For that reason, my styling remains minimalistic, modern and fresh. Clothing choices for babies remain simplistic
